LSU board member Scott Angelle wins seat on PSC
Breaux Bridge Republican Scott Angelle beat out a field of four other contenders for a Louisiana Public Service Commission seat, taking 56.93 percent of the vote with 98 percent of precincts reporting, according to unofficial results.
Angelle recently resigned from an eight-year stint as secretary of the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources. He celebrated the outright victory Tuesday night at Buck and Johnny’s restaurant in Breaux Bridge.
“My experience with an energy background made me well suited for the job,” Angelle said Tuesday night. “We worked hard and campaigned in all 13 parishes.”
