Search for Vice President for Finance & Administration
First candidate will speak in an open forum on Thursday, December 5, 2013
The search committee for the Vice President for Finance & Administration is pleased to announce that two candidates will participate in on-campus interviews. Each candidate will speak in an open forum setting and all of the LSU community are invited to attend.
The first candidate is Dr. Daniel T. Layzell. His open forum will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, 3:15 pm, 119 Nicholson Hall. Dr. Layzell currently serves as the Vice President for Finance and Planning at Illinois State University, a position he has held since 2009. Previously, he held the position of Associate Vice President for Planning and Administration (2008-2009) and the Associate Vice President for Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis (2005-2008) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; Deputy Director for Planning and Budgeting (2002-2005) and Deputy Director for Planning and Technology (2001-2002), for the Illinois Board of Higher Education; Partner (2000-2001), Principal (1997-2000) and Senior Associate (1997),at MGT of America. Dr. Layzell also held multiple positions for the University of Wisconsin System Administration: Director, Office of Policy Analysis and Research (1994-1997), Senior Policy Analyst (1993-1994) and Policy and Planning Analyst (1992-1993). He received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University; an A.M. in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Illinois College.
