Rolfe H. McCollister, Jr.

Rolfe McCollisterRolfe McCollister was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is a graduate of Louisiana State University.

Rolfe is founder and CEO of Louisiana Business, Inc. which publishes the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report (begun in 1982),225 magazine, inRegister magazine, Daily Report online news, Louisiana NEXT, Welcome magazine, Baton Rouge Region Guide, and other specialty publications. They also produce the Baton Rouge Business Awards and Hall of Fame, Influential Women in Business, the Louisiana Business Symposium, Forty Under 40, and several other annual events.

Business Report has received over fifty national awards, including the National Gold Award from AABP, for Best Business Newspaper (judged by the Columbia School of Journalism at the University of Missouri) in 2007 and 2012.

In 2012, Rolfe was inducted into LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business Hall of Distinction.

Rolfe was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to the LSU Board of Supervisors in 2012. He was previously appointed to this Board by Governor Buddy Roemer, and served from 1988 to 1994 (serving as Chairman in 1992). Rolfe served as Chairman for Governor Jindal’s Transition Team in 2007.

Rolfe’s company has grown from two full-time employees and sales of $350,000 to 60 fulltime employees and total revenue of $9 million dollars. He is married to Teeta McCollister and has a daughter, Elizabeth McCollister, and a daughter and son-in-Iaw, Jeanne and Ryan McNeil.
