Stanley J. Jacobs

Stanley Jacobs is married to Peggy Jacobs and has a daughter Jodi Jacobs Aamodt who practices law with him in New Orleans and has a daughter Melissa Maslia who has a masters in sports nutrition and works in the wellness program for Coca Cola in Atlanta.  He has 4 grandchildren, Marley & Benjamin Aamodt and Mason & Alexa Maslia.

• Played on LSU’s first basketball team to beat Kentucky in 1961 (game selected 01/31/09 as 1 of 10 memorable games in LSU basketball history);

• Appointed by Governor Mike Foster to the Louisiana Board of Regents, 05/19/03-12/15/06;

• Appointed as member of the University Medical Center Board in 2011;
• Elected into the Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame, Class of 2005 (Covington High School basketball player 1955, 1956 and 1957).
